Apply epoxy-polyamide coating, MIL-PRF-22750, two coats, 1.6 to

3.4 mils.  Color number, FED-STD-595, shall be designated on the drawing immediately following Code 486.

Walkway coating and matting in accordance with manufacturers instructions.  Type shall be designated on the drawing immediately following Code 492.

Acid-resistant lacquer, A-A-1452, (black, color 17038, FED-STD-

595, 0.8 to 1.2 mils dry film thickness).

Alkali-resistant vinyl enamel, white, color 27886, FED-STD-595 (0.8 to 1.2 mils dry film thickness).

Moisture and fungus resistant varnish. Depending on the application ASTM D3955 and ASTM D295 may be used as guidance in selecting a moisture resistant varnish. In order to make the material fungus resistant, a fungistatic agent such as salicylanilide (7 +/- 1.0%) or copper 8-quinolinolate (1.0%) should be added to the formulation.
