(a) Degrease panels for 10 minutes at room temperature in an appropriate solvent. Then treat for 10 minutes at 160o to 190oF in the following solution:

95.3 percent by weight water

2.2 percent by weight Na2Si02 (metal)

1.1 percent by weight Na4P207 (pyrophosphate)

1.1 percent by weight Na0H

0.3 percent by weight Nacconol NR.

(b) Rinse panels with cold distilled H20 and then treat for 10 minutes at 155o +/- 5oF in a solution of 20 percent Cr0 .

(c) Panels are then given a final rinse in warm distilled H20 and air- dried. Prepared surfaces should be primed with adhesive or bonded as soon as possible; elapse time not to exceed 8 hours.
