Protective measures shall be sufficient to maintain performance characteristics within specified limits both during and after exposure to moisture, high and low temperatures, corrosive gases, chemicals and microbial fungal attack.

5.6 Galvanic corrosion. Dissimilar metals as defined in table III shall not be used in intimate contact unless suitably protected against electrolytic corrosion. Because of the seriousness of galvanic corrosion, every effort shall be made to avoid the use of dissimilar metals, to exclude moisture or other electrolyte from the system, and to protect metal surfaces in the contact area. Where it is necessary that metals not shown as "compatible" in table III
